This is what happens when daddy is babysitting......

I came home from a meeting last night and found Parker sitting at the table. He had a can of Betty Crocker whipped chocolate frosting, took the lid off, ripped open the top and had his spoon and was eating. Brendon was to be found no where in sight. A boy after my own heart.

We took the kids up to Rampart Range and had a great time this past weekend. Uncle Jim and Aunt Connie came up and brought their four wheelers. We rode dirt bikes, rode the four wheelers, ate lunch, played in the dirt, read books and enjoyed being in the beautiful mountains of Rampart Range.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

"Nothing in the world is worth having or worth doing unless it means effort, pain, difficulty... I have never in my life envied a human being who led an easy life. I have envied a great many people who led difficult lives and led them well.

"NAKE", "NAKE"

Ok, so you are thinking, what is she doing, blogging at 2:16 am? Well five minutes ago Parker woke up and let out a huge scream that was very unusual, unlike a usual regular cry. I jumped out of bed so fast, knowing he either fell out of bed, or something scared him. I through open his door just in time for him to run into my arms. By this time Madison has woken up because the scream was scary to her. Patting Madisons back and telling her it's ok, go back to sleep, I focus on Parker. I hug him and said did you fall out of bed? His immediate reply was "nake." Mommy, get that "nake". I said where is the "nake". He walked me over to his bed and pointed to a spot on his bed and said right there is the "nake". I said Parker there is no "nake" you had a bad dream. So he lifts up his pillow puts it back down, lifts up his blanket puts it back down and I comment again, see there is no "nake" it was only dream. We don't have any "nake" in our house. Parkers reply: "OH" and climbs back into bed and is out before I close the door. So now I am up and wide awake. Dang "nake", stay out of my little boys dreams. AKA "nake" = Snake.

EDUCATION IS IMPORTANT!!!!

I just finished watching President Barack Obama's back to school speech delivered to students all across the United States. First off, Brendon and I are not Obama fans and do not support a lot of things he is doing, but in this instance since he spoke to our children, we are thankful for the speach he did deliver. It was well written and Paige really enjoyed listening to him talk about how much she can learn at school. Maybe it's a good thing that Paige was sick today and had to stay home. Thank you for the encouragement President Obama about how important education is. Hopefully the students out there will listen and stay in school and learn all they can. That is what the savior wants us to do. Learn all we can, for our knowledge is what we take with us into the afterlife.

GOOOOOOOO COUGARS

Ok, so the last five years I have not been into BYU Football because I have been taking care of babies. Well I am out of that stage and ready to return. I grew up in a home where my father and three brothers were HUGE FOOTBALL FANS. My greatest memories of my brothers and father sitting downstairs watching every football game plus BYU. So I decided this season to get back into the football scene because I love this game. All the BYU Games are on my calendar, my BYU shirt is on and I yelled GO COUGARS with the rolling of the arms the whole game. What an incredible game. BYU WINS against 3rd rank Oklahoma 14 to 13. GO COUGARS, What a great start to a terrific season.
